Rural Communities Support Programs.
We strive to provide Math support to students in Rural communities through various programs by patnering with friends of The Palms Tutors as well as commiting at least 5% of our yearly revenue to sponsorships and donations. .
2018 – The Palms Tutors Maiden Math Challenge, awarding 1-term scholarship to 30 students in junior and senior secondary 1, covering tuition and the reccomended math textbook for the next school year. 10 students were awarded each from 3 schools in Ijebu- Ode, Ago-Iwoye and Awa-Ijebu through a written competition. Â
2021 – Aropo Math Outreach, a math outreach where 300 christmas packs DONATED by benovelent sponsors were given to pre-schoolers in celebration of christmas and more importantly as an introductory pack to addition (aropo). The Aropo workbook was carefully designed to help kids learn with hands-on experience especially with the inclusion of colorful counting rods.
2022 – Math R-aid, launched in May, 2022, connects students in rural communities (Awa-Ijebu being the test area) to volunteer tutors with the cost of data for all students and some tutors covered by the sponsor (s).Â
